Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet Review & Giveaway

I have never been a good flosser. Sure I can blame it on not having enough time in the day or just plain forgetfulness, but honestly I think it boils down to being lazy. Now don't get me wrong, I do brush twice a day and use mouthwash but sometimes that isn't enough. It was Julia Roberts who said it best "You shouldn't neglect your gums.".

When I used to think of Waterpik I thought of braces (maybe because I begged my mom for one when I had braces to no avail) but now when I think of it I think of super duper plaque reducer. That is all thanks to the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet I received to review.
Using state-of-the art water jet technology, the Waterpik Ultra removes bacteria deep between teeth and below the gumline where brushing and flossing will not reach. The compact, contemporary design makes the Waterpik Ultra look and fit better on your counter and not to mention it has a 20% smaller footprint than the personal and family models. The Waterpik Ultra comes with 6 different tips (2 Standard Jet Tips, 1 Tongue Cleaner, 1 Pik Pocket, 1 Orthodontic Tip and 1 Toothbrush Tip) to customize your clean. It also features an advanced pressure control system with 10 settings that vary from a gentle massage to a vigorous cleaning.
Upon first glance I noticed the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet was very neat and organized. The water reservoir cover doubles as a unique tip compartment that provides a hygienic storage solution and the pressure control dial and on/off switch are conveniently located on the side. I also like the fact that when not in use the handle cord is neatly tucked into the unit. For the first use I started off with one the Standard Jet Tips and the control system at the "2" setting. I found that setting to be gentle and worked my way up to a "5" which is perfect for right now. Anything above that stings and is almost too uncomfortable to use at this point. After that I switched the tip to the Pik Pocket Tip. I found that to be very comfortable and effective at rinsing between teeth and into gum pockets. I do want to note that before switching the Waterpik Ultra on, be sure to place the jet tip in your mouth or you will end up with a wet bathroom. Also be sure to lean over the sink because all of the water that goes in has to come out.
Out of all the tips included I have found that my favorite is the Pik Pocket Tip followed by the Toothbrush Tip. The Toothbrush Tip allows you to complete two tasks in one when you use it with toothpaste. I also love the fact that you can use mouthwash in the Waterpik Ultra because I feel like it delivers mouthwash into the deep dark places that otherwise would not receive it. With its compact design and interchangeable tips the Waterpik Ultra has changed my once neglected gums into healthy, unmistakeably clean gums.

Robeez Holiday Collection Review & Giveaway

Not only did Princess P receive several pairs of shoes at her baby shower, we also bought her a couple of pair before she arrived. I mean who doesn't love to buy baby shoes? But it wasn't until after we brought her home that I realized how much of a pain they could be. She was born in the middle of the summer (think 104 degrees the day she was born) so to start off with shoes were out of the question. When fall came she had grown out of almost all of the shoes we bought and received. The ones that still fit were hard to get on and when finally on her feet they didn't stay long. So I went out on a limb and bought a pair of Robeez Soft-Sole shoes.

When they arrived I could not believe how unbelievably cute they were and how well they stayed on. But the best part had to be that they were virtually effortless to get on. I was super sad when her feet got to big for them but that faded fast when I found out about the Robeez Tredz line.
Recently, I was offered the chance to review a pair of shoes from the Robeez Holiday Collection. After browsing through the ridiculously cute styles I landed on the Robeez Tredz Cute Bow MJ, the perfect holiday shoe. When they arrived I could not wait to see how they stacked up against their soft sole counterpart. The black patent design gives these Mary Janes a touch of elegance, while the bow adds a hint of fun. The non-slip, water-resistant soles makes the Cute Bow MJ's a great choice for outdoors and the elasticized back and adjustable strap help keep them on. I love the fact that the inside has a bit of cushioning for comfort and that they are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association. The only difference I can find between the Tredz and Soft Sole (besides the size and style, of course) is I feel like you have to break these in a little. They were a bit stiff when they first arrived but now that Princess P has worn them a couple of times they have seemed to soften up.

Along with the Soft Sole and Tredz Collections, Robeez offers a Mini Shoez Collection. Mini Shoez look like "real shoes" but provide an abundance of comfort. Theses shoes are ideal for indoor and light-outdoor use and fit baby's and toddler's ages 3-18 months.

You can go to Robeez.com to purchase shoes online or to find a store nearest you.

Hallmark Review & Giveaway

Sometimes it can be the little things that mean the most, especially during the holidays. That is why I love Hallmark products. They always seem to express just how your feeling with a few simple words or a cheerful picture. This holiday season we will be making Christmas morning a lot more meaningful when we gift Hallmark products to some very special people.
Hallmark sent us a few of their new Holiday items to review. While I knew the awesomeness of their Recordable Cards, I had no idea about their DVD Greetings or Digital Scrapbooks. So when they arrived I could not wait to learn more about them!

Since times are tough for many families this Christmas, ours included, I feel like we need to be grateful for what we do have. And the number one thing on my list? Princess P. She has brought smiles to everyone's face when smiling was the furthest thing from their minds. She has the ability to spread happiness with just a single action. Whether it be leaning over to give you a kiss or wearing my high heel shoes. And don't even get me started on her dancing. It will literally make you laugh until you cry. So what better way to preserve those moments than on a DVD Greetings from Hallmark. Each DVD Greetings hosts a template that can be edited and customized with personal photos. Then you burn it to the included DVD and send with the coordinating card. (You do need to have a computer DVD burner and internet access to create this DVD Greeting.)
The DVD Greetings we received reads "At this jolly holiday season, we have so many things to be happy about... especially the gift of a certain little someone in our lives." How perfect is that? And it is super simple to create and burn. The only hard part is narrowing down the (20) photos to be included in it. I cannot wait to give this to Princess P's grandparents and see the look on their faces. Especially when they hear that the card is set to the tune of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy"! This is such a great way to get a little pick-me-up when you are feeling blue.
Another item we received to review from Hallmark was the Digital Scrapbook in the Baby theme. This is the perfect way to show off your newest addition to family and friends. Simply plug the USB drive into your computer, download the software application, enter your access code and create your scrapbook by adding your favorite photos, words, and music to the 50+ designed slides. This scrapbook can be viewed on your digital frame, computer or TV. You can purchase the Digital Frame in 5 themes including: Holiday, Family, Friend, Baby Boy or Girl, and Love.
I have wanted to get a Recordable Card for Princess P's grandparents since she started to talk. I can only imagine them opening it up to hear a joyful greeting from their littlest grandchild. So when I received two Recordable Cards with Music from Hallmark I knew exactly who they were going to and exactly what they were going to say. I knew the process of recording the message was going to be easy, it was getting the person who was recording the message to say what they were supposed say that was the hard part. With A Lot of coaching, Princess P was finally able to record a holiday greeting. When Christmas morning comes both our parents will receive a card with the most precious greeting "Mer-me pist-mas" followed by "Winter Wonderland" or "We Wish You A Merry Christmas"

Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller *Review & Giveaway*

While Princess P's full-size stroller was perfect when she was younger, we need something that is smaller and more compact now. When thinking about the ideal stroller I envisioned an umbrella stroller that was maneuverable, easy to fold, and still comfortable for P to sit in. I happened to stumble upon the Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller and found that it met all of my criteria and then some.
The Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller from Kolcraft is made to keep your little one cool in the summer and warm in the winter. When the back padding is rolled up it exposes mesh seating to keep your child cool. Also when in the "cool-climate" position the padding creates a comfy headrest. When the weather is cool simply roll down the all-weather seat pad to cover the mesh to keep the chilly air out. The Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller also comes with a Sunrider Canopy that easily adjusts to block the sun and wind.
Kolcraft generously sent us the Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller in Abyss to review. When it arrived some assembly was required but I was able to put it together myself, which means it was not very hard at all. So how did it stack up against my "ideal stroller criteria"?

*Maneuverability - So much better than our full-size stroller! At first using the curved comfort- grip handles seemed a bit awkward but now I prefer them. They make pushing the stroller a breeze! With the Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller I am able to make quick, sharp turns very easily and getting through cramped spaces is not a problem anymore.
*Folding Ease - If I had to, I could fold this stroller with one hand and load it into the car. (Which is what I wanted!) Simply lock the back wheels then use your foot to push up on the metal bracing. After pushing the stroller together, lock the clip on the side of the stroller to secure.

*Comfort - Since it is the fall/winter season we have not be able to effectively test the Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller in the "cool-climate" position, but I can tell you that it looks like it will keep the air circulating for maximum comfort. Princess P looks comfy and cozy while riding with the all-weather pad down. The reclining position is perfect for when she falls asleep and the Sunrider Canopy adjusts easily to block the sun. But I do need to add that when the canopy is not in use (and sometimes when it is) P loves to play with it. She is always pulling at it and putting it under her arms. It tends to get a bit frustrating so it is good thing that the canopy is removable!
Overall this umbrella stroller exceeds my expectations. However, there is another feature of the Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller that I would like to touch on. When you think of umbrella stroller's you think of convenience and not storage. But this stroller actually comes with two cargo bags perfect for storing a couple of diapers and wipes or even snacks and juice boxes. The Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller also comes with a detachable cup holder on the side.

The Jeep All-Weather Reclining Umbrella Stroller is perfect for us because it fits perfectly in our tiny closet or we can leave it in trunk without taking up too much space. This stroller is also great for quick trips to the store or a walk around the park. I just cannot wait to see how well the "cool-climate" feature works!

Build-A-Bear Happy Holidays Frosty The Snowman *Review & Giveaway*

I am excited to share the magic of the holidays with Princess P this year. From decorating the tree to watching classic holiday shows and movies, we are going all out to make this a special Christmas for her. One of my all time favorite shows is Frosty The Snowman. I can remember watching it on television year after year and wishing I had a Frosty to go on adventures with.
The creative minds at Build-A-Bear have now made that possible with their cute and cuddly stuffed Frosty The Snowman. Even though this adorable Frosty is stuffed he is still magic. Whenever his hat lifts up his cheeks light up and he makes a magical sound. You can buy the Build-A-Bear Frosty The Snowman many different ways including a Slumber Party Frosty, a Happy Holidays Frosty and a Cool & Casual Frosty.
Build-A-Bear generously sent us the Happy Holidays Frosty The Snowman to add some magic and cheer to Princess P's holiday. This adorable Frosty comes complete with a red scarf, plush broom and a pipe (all are removable). As soon as Princess P saw the Frosty her eyes lit up! She carried him around for awhile before she discovered how this Frosty came to life. Much to her surprise when she lifted up his hat his cheeks and the flower on his hat lit up and he made a magical noise. Now every time she plays with him she does it over and over again. Much to my delight there is a on/off switch so we don't have to listen to it.

The Happy Holidays Frosty The Snowman from Build-A-Bear will be the perfect companion as we watch Frosty on t.v. this year. I only hope this will become a tradition for years to come. Who knows, maybe next year Build-A-Bear will release a Rudolph collection that we could do the same with!

Munchie Mug Review & Giveaway

It is no secret that Princess P loves her snacks. She is always asking for "Ph-ish" (Goldfish) or "Naks" (Fruit Snacks) to snack on between meals. The only problem is more of the snacks end up on the floor than in her mouth. I figured there was no other solution than keeping her in her high chair (which she doesn't care for) while she ate her snacks. That was of course until I learned of the Munchie Mug.
The Munchie Mug is a spill resistant snack cup for children 10 months and older. Its unique fabric closure keeps the snacks inside the canister and off the floor. The Munchie Mug is made of durable, recyclable No. 5 polypropylene and can withstand the test of childhood. The clear 16 oz. plastic jar holds up to 10 oz. of dry foods and when that is gone you can toss it on the top rack of your dishwasher for easy cleanup.

We were sent the Munchie Mug in yellow to review. When it arrived I was ready to put it to the test and see just how well it really worked. We washed it, dried it, filled it full of "Naks" and handed it to Princess P. At first she did not know what to think. She just looked at the fish design on the outside and shook it around a bit. As soon as we showed her how it worked and what was inside, she got the hang of it very quickly. I am happy to report that the Munchie Mug kept the "Naks" off of the floor and in her mouth.
This thing is truly a life saver, especially when we are in the car! Instead of handing her a snack one-by-one from the front seat, I can now load the Munchie Mug full and give it to her to eat at her own pace. Not only is she satisfied and happy but the car is being kept clean in the process! I love the fact that the jar is clear so we can see in and the fabric is really soft and easy on sensitive hands. The Munchie Mug even comes with a stay fresh lid to place on the jar when your child is not using it. Whenever we are out with the Munchie Mug everyone always comments on what a brilliant idea it is and then they ask where we got it because they need one. Just keep in mind that the Munchie Mug would make a great stocking stuffer (for baby or parent) this holiday season!
